Counseling

After-Class Consultation

The Department of Creative Product Design integrates its administrative office, faculty studios, student gallery, and open discussion spaces into a single shared environment adjacent to the Creative Design and Invention Center, creating a warm and comprehensive platform for communication and exchange. This open and accessible setting encourages interaction among students, faculty, and industry partners.

The department adopts a multi-mentor support system, including Life Mentors, Career Mentors, Industry Mentors, and Mandala Mentors dedicated to academic advising. This system supports students in planning their studies and developing a fulfilling campus life.

The Mandala Mentorship System follows an apprenticeship-based approach, in which designated faculty members guide students through continuous learning and growth. Upon enrollment, each group of 10–15 first-year students is assigned a dedicated Mandala Mentor who provides course planning guidance and, when needed, organizes study groups and learning initiatives. Mandala Mentors are assigned through the university system; students may check their assigned mentor via the Student Information System.

Mentor Roles

  • Life Mentor: Class advisors responsible for class affairs and scheduling.

  • Career Mentor: Provides consultation on further studies, career planning, internships, and employment.

  • Industry Mentor: Invited professionals from industry offering career guidance and practical insights.

  • Mandala Mentor: Provides academic advising and course planning through an apprenticeship-based mentoring model.
